| Cindy and I are very dedicated to the fight against heart disease and stroke, so we enthusiastically support Heart's Delight, a wonderful wine tasting charity event in Washington, DC, that we co-founded in 1998 to benefit the American Heart Association. The American Heart Association's mission is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Numerous studies have shown that moderate consumption of wine can help reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke! What a great way to take your medicine! This three day event culminates with a seated tasting of thirty-plus Bordeaux wines from the current vintage. Chateaux owners and property directors are in attendance to pour and comment on their wines. The tasting is followed by a reception and a silent and live auction where guests can taste food provided by some of the country's favorite restaurants and wine from the world's best vineyards as well as bid on some exclusive travel opportunities, dining experiences and rare and exciting wines. Over the past eight years, Heart's Delight has raised more than 5 million dollars for the American Heart Association!
