A little more about us:
Cindy and I are fortunate enough to participate in several wine groups each
month with a group of guys whose cellars are as deep as their palates are
diverse! At each of these tastings, we meet at various restaurants in the
Washington, DC area and pair wines with a variety of culinary creations. While I
am the self appointed scribe, always taking notes and recording various
comments from the group, Cindy has become the noted critic of the group.
Most of the "members" have extensive wine collections and a great
appreciation of both the old and young (wines, that is)! In order to provide a
broader perspective, we will include other members' comments from time to
time. Please feel free to email comments, critiques and criticisms to me at
scott@vineguy.com or to Cindy at cindy@vineguy.com

How this all started: Well, one evening, Cindy asked me what, exactly, I planned
to do with all of the notes I have accumulated... Then she suggested that I look
into starting a website where I could post my notes and give others a chance to
put their two cents in. So, here it is.

Once
in awhile (or so) we'll post our tasting notes on a variety of wines.

We will use a simple, fun "rating" system based on our patent pending "Ten
Wine Bunch" scale which is based on bunches of grapes: 0ne through Ten.
One, of course, being worthy of stripping paint.  Ten would be considered "toe
curling good"! Anything in between, well, you get the idea! Our ratings are
heavily influenced by the "price to palate" ratio... the more bang for the buck,
the higher the ratio, and therefore, the more grapes bunches it garners!
